Based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Hash Define Electronics Ltd can offer consultancy and development services in embedded electronics, mechanical, ATEX intrinsic designs, and software.

We have over ten years of experience in electronic and mechanical design and, having worked on a diverse set of projects, have gained the experience and knowledge needed to understand every aspect of a product life cycle. We have helped customers set up in-house production test facilities, introduced them to proven UK manufactures and designed bespoke turnkey solutions.

We at Hash Define Electronics Ltd understand the need and the importance for our customers wanting to keep projects simple and the cost to a minimum. Our Services

Electronics

We specialise in automotive embedded electronics using a wide range of PCB CAD tools. We can use Altium, Proteus, Eagle and Kicad to generate our designs as well as provide files for manufacturing. We can also develop single, double and multilayer board designs.

For hardware development, we can use Microchip, ARM (Cortex-M), 8052 microcontrollers, CPLD, and FPGA. We have experience in porting and using FreeRTOS on microcontroller for real time applications. For communication protocols, we have experience using CAN, I2C, SPI, 1Wire, RS232, RS422 and USB 2.0. With the CAN protocol we have also used CANOpen for both automotive and commercial applications.

Software

We have the experience to develop applications for a whole range of platforms using a variety of programming languages. For embedded firmware, we can develop with C, C++, Basic and assembler for PIC, ARM and 8051 microcontrollers.

We can also develop desktop applications for Linux, Windows and Mac using the languages Visual Basic, C#, C++, Java, and Python. The programs we have developed range from firmware drivers to IT solution such as back office DMS (documentation management system).

We can provide web based solutions on your projects as we have experience in web languages such HTML, CSS, Javascript and PHP as well as experience with SQL databases.

Prototype

Whether you are looking to prove a concept, evaluate a potential market or are looking for us to start the design process for your team, we can provide low cost, low volume prototypes to meet your needs.

We can offer a feasibility study on your project; this is usually done before we start work on any design to try to reduce the risk of the project.

We have a range of development kits and breakout boards that we use to prototype. Some of which have been developed in house to meet our specific needs. For example, we built an SMD to breadboard breakout board for Microchip’s PIC32MZ1024ECM100 microcontroller. This board has all the basic components to get started as well as a CAN port. This board is particular suited for our automotive clients.

Web development

Whether you require help with setting up your server or needs us to developed your web application, we have the skills and the experience to help you.

Our experience include developing web applications for internet connected devices, setting up online stores and creating database driving reports.

For CMS and E-commerce projects, We have experience with Wordpress, Magento, Woocommerce and Keystone. For bespoke web and IoT applicaitons, we have experience with NodeJs and AngularJs.

Ronald Sousa MEng, Mechatronics and Robotics Engineer

I’m a passionate engineer that has over ten years of experience in the electronics industry; I have worked for companies such as Renishaw PLC and Mechtronic Ltd where I have designed, tested and maintained hardware and software for both the automotive oil delivery and the mining industry.

My education and work history has provided me with a diverse set of skills that include remote fault finding, designing intrinsically safe hardware and design for manufacture. I have been part of every aspect of a product life cycle; from the initial design concept and feasibility study to providing support to the end customer.

I have a proven track record of successfully planning and managing projects and I believe what makes me good at what I do is both my enthusiasm for engineering and my attention to detail.
